Raycast Extension

Both free and Pro users can quickly compress images in Finder using the Raycast extension.

Installing the Extension

Ensure you have Raycast installed. There are two ways to install the Zipic extension.

Install via Raycast

Open Raycast on macOS (usually ⌘ + Space), type store to open the extension store, search for Zipic, find Images Compression, and press Enter to install.

Install via Extension Store

Visit the Raycast Extension Store, search for Zipic, and install it.

Using the Extension

There are two ways to use the extension to compress images.

Regular Method

Select the images or folders you want to compress in Finder, open Raycast, type compress, select Compress Images, and press Enter.

Hotkey Method

First, set a hotkey for the extension. We recommend ⇧ + ⌥ + Z. Once set, you can use the hotkey to compress images directly.

Select the images or folders you want to compress in Finder and press ⇧ + ⌥ + Z to compress them instantly. This method is faster than the regular method.
